Experience Summary
I have taught special-needs students for over 30 years. I am licensed in learning disabilities and for the mentally handicapped. I'm also licensed in general elementary K through eight. My experience includes working with students who have learning disabilities and cognitive challenges. I have also worked with students who have ADHD and autism , including Asberger Syndrome. I have taught grades kindergarten through high school successfully. My experience includes city teaching and rural teaching. My specialty is reading instruction. Many nonreaders have became readers with my instruction. My students are highly motivated and gain confidence when working with me.
Teaching Style
I teach using direct instruction, mastery learning, and step by step sequential learning.
