Experience Summary
I went to college after high school and received a Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Teaching from Eastern Michigan University. I am not a certified teacher but I do have experience with teaching. I also worked as a trainer over the phone and online for using computer software with McKesson Pharmacy Systems in Michigan. I decided to go back to college and recently graduated from Trident Technical College in South Carolina, with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science with focus in Accounting. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.80 GPA. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and an alumni member. I served as Treasurer for two terms in Phi Theta Kappa. I also received the Merit award from the Accounting Department with Trident.
I was the sole Accounting tutor at the Learning Center at Trident. I also completed a tutor training course to become a tutor. I also was a tutor available in the Accounting Department. The students could contact me directly and we would meet for tutoring sessions. I have received positive feedback from students. I have successfully worked with students in the past that performed better on tests and homework after receiving tutoring from me.
I have extensive experience with computers, basic accounting, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks. I have completed classes for Accounting I and II, Cost Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, II, and III, Payroll Accounting, Not for Profit Accounting, Accounting with Excel, and Accounting with QuickBooks, Individual Tax, Corporate Tax, Auditing, Tax Audit and Research. I am also attending Marshall University to complete my Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. I can tutor high school and college level Accounting. I have used multiple software platforms for homework and testing such as Wiley, Cengage, and McGraw Hill. I also worked with H and R Block during the last tax season. I was responsible for adding tax forms, such as 1099, and W2 forms into computer software to complete taxes online.
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading, crochet and making jewelry. I sing with local Sweet Adeline's, French Colony Chorus located in Gallipolis, Ohio. I love dogs and have a Shih Tzu and Poodle mix named Peanut.
