Experience Summary
I have worked in the field of Education for the last 17 years; I made a career change to the field of education after working with a special needs employee in my previous career/job. The majority of this time has been spent working in various positions in the field of Special Education. In my years of experience, I have taught Kindergarten thru 12th grade, as well as at the DPS Transition Center (age 26). I am certified in both Michigan and Georgia. Presently, I live and work in Georgia during the school year, but I spend my summers in the metro Detroit area.
Teaching Style
I have an open, fun and 'hands-on' technology infused teaching style where I maintain control of the environment and behaviors.
My Hobbies
My hobbies include cooking, traveling, going to the movies, participating in community activities and spending time with my family.
Other Comments
The majority of my experience has been working with students in grades 6-12 and the Transition Center (ages 18-26).
