Experience Summary
I believe that all students regardless of race, ethnicity or socio-economic status, are deserving of a wholistic education. This wholistic approach would include an education that will allow each student to fully discover themselves, their strengths and weaknesses, and benefit from necessary real world/ life instruction. Furthermore, this type of approach would expose students to cultures and experiences that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to come across. I believe it is essential in a successful teaching environment to maintain healthy relationships with all the students, parents, and other teachers with whom you work with. I believe that active learning is an important aspect of a successful classroom. I think that by encouraging my students to think actively and critically through the question-and-answer process, they will be continuously motivated to seek their own answer by asking questions for themselves. I will strive to make every activity in the classroom, including quizzes and exams, beneficial to learning material and to developing critical thinking. I will strive to respond to different learning styles, by accommodating different student’s abilities.
