Because of my excellent communication skills, I influenced hundreds of traditional men to allow their wives and sisters to join my husband’s campaign for the Afghan presidency. Mutasim Billah Presidential Campaign, Kabul, Afghanistan?????2009
Campaign Manager
• Corresponded with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs of Afghanistan and was a key organizer and campaign manager in spearheading the woman right's program.
• Developed innovative solutions for Afghan women's rights organizations to bring an end to traditional Afghan practices that discriminate and harm women.
• Managed, organized and delivered dynamic campaign messages and speeches in the 2009 Afghan Presidential elections on behalf of my husband, who was a candidate for president.
• Manifested real courage and bold leadership by visiting cities and villages throughout Afghanistan that were under the reign of insurgents
• Encouraged and motivated women to come out and to voice their opinions by casting their vote, attracting international media attention from BBC, Al Jazeera, and Voice of America.
• Participated in a developmental program for peace, positive change, equality and justice by the US Ambassador to Afghanistan, Karl W. Eikenberry.
