About Me

Experience Summary

American Sign Language is primary language. Skilled lip reader and voice with clarity and skill. More than 25+ years of experience using ASL in educational, religious, social, and corporate settings. Sessions are comfortable and fun. All students are assessed and an individual tutoring plans is created. Students will acquire the knowledge of Deaf culture and community, improve their ASL receptive skills, increase their ASL vocabulary signs by 50% in a 3-6 month time period. Student shave the capacity of learning approximately 300+ vocabulary signs in a six to eight week period. Instructor is available during non session hours for video conferencing and or text to answer questions or quiz preparation.

Teaching Style

During each personalized session for individuals and or groups students will be assessed, provided receptive skills quizzes, in a non lecture format. Sessions are creative and age appropriate for all level learners. Music, games, and worksheets are also incorporated. Students are often required to watch minute vinuets on YouTube.

American Sign Language is tutor's primary language. Information regarding the culture, the language and Deaf people are also discussed. American Sign Language is not just for Deaf people. It is also used for persons who have lost their vocal ability due to age, illness, and or accident.
