Experience Summary
I have been signing since I was 2 years old. I was born Deaf and I have also have had history teaching sign language to others. I taught in my church for several years and I have taught in diffrent settings so that people feel comfortable signing. History has always been one of my passions. I majored in it in college and it just flows for me to explain it to others. I have often had the expierence of people asking me for help and they have gotten A's on thier test due to me giving them help
Teaching Style
When I tutor you, this will be a classroom style expierence.
1. I will teach Vocabulary initially
2. I will assign books to be read so we can have a discussion about the history of Deaf Culture
3. As we progress you will learn syntax, structure and conversational skills
4. I will also assign you to attend Deaf events so you can learn how to interact with the Deaf community at large and practice signing with people who have diffrent styles
5. There will be tests and quizzes.
History:
If there are school assignments I can help you understand what went on with the history in query. I will help one research for papers.
My Hobbies
I love to teach others how to sign. I design websites and I read history books
