Experience Summary
I have worked as a volunteer for the Read Out and Read Program at the Brockton Neighborhood Healthcare Center in Brockton, Massachusetts from 2009 to 2013. I worked as a volunteer at the Turner Free Library in Randolph, Massachusetts from 2011-2012. I have been drawing since I was five years old, and I am an alumna of the National Youth's Leadership Council, which I won an award from.
Teaching Style
As far as teaching goes, I am mostly here to help the person with the way they write their papers, organization of paragraphs, spelling, whether or not the writing makes sense to the reader, and whether or not the reading understands what is written. I believe in being honest about my critiques to the person's writing and being a fair judge all to help the student improve his or her skills so they can become not just good but great at what they are doing. As far as drawing goes, I will do my best to help the person understand the concept of shapes and building a good foundation for their art work.
My Hobbies
I love to do creative writing, read novels, and drawing picture during my spare time.
Other Comments
I am able to come in on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to help the student with either anything that has to do with English and or Art/Drawing. I would be able to even bring in some colored pencils and extra materials that could be used for demonstration when helping a student with drawing.
