I am a native Persian (Farsi) speaker with over 10 years of teaching experience to both English and non-English speakers, offering individual or group classes for beginner to advanced students. For the past 7.5 years, I have been teaching at an ACCET accredited language institute, and am now offering private lessons.
Teaching Style
I’m a patient teacher with an excellent and deep understanding of Persian and English, Iranian culture, literature and film.
I will work with you to come up with a strategically sound plan tailor-made to your needs and interests. If you're a beginner, we will start with the alphabet and vowels, and then move on to sentence structure and grammar. Conversations in Persian can start out early on to make you feel comfortable with the language. Lessons in Iranian culture and mannerisms are included, as I believe they are essential to your studies.

Other Comments
Persian is a very poetic and song-like language, and is quite simple in terms of formal grammar. This and the fact Persian and English share a common root in the Indo-European language family makes it one of the easier languages for English speakers to learn. Some familiarity with Persian will also help with studies in Kurdish, Urdu, Hindi and Arabic.
