Experience Summary
In addition to receiving a BM and MM degree, I have been an educator for several years. Most recently I taught private saxophone, flute, clarinet and keyboard lessons in Rochester, NY at the Eastman Community School and in Spencerport, NY at Dori's Music Studio. While working on my Masters Degree at Eastman I was a TA and taught several Jazz Performance Workshop classes. I have also done guest lectures and workshops at various levels such as in music classes at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and at EFA high school in Elmira, NY.
I have also done an extensive amount of performing around the world, and have played at numerous jazz clubs and venues in NYC such as Smalls, Birdland, Smoke and Symphony Space and have toured several countries in Europe with a jazz quartet. Most recently I worked as the Musical Director for Celebrity Cruises on the Celebrity Summit and played as the saxophonist and woodwind specialist for 6 months.
