Experience Summary
I taught in two public high schools in Orange and Osceola Counties in the Central Florida area for 5 years where I earned the Professional Educators Certificate to teach mathematics 6 - 12. For the past 10 years, I have been teaching at a Huntington Learning Center while privately tutoring students from the area middle, high school, and community colleges.
Teaching Style
My teaching style adapts to the students current level of knowledge. I always model 2 or 3 problems step by step before asking the student to try a problem. A student is comfortable knowing that I have "their backs" and won't let them be frustrated for long. This gives a student confidence to try problems on their own.
My Hobbies
I enjoy reading Patricia Cornwell's "Scarpetta" series when I get a chance. I also enjoy updating my math blog with articles and news pertaining to education in our country.
Other Comments
I provide expert math instruction backed with 15 years of teaching experience working with students of all ages. I charge less than half of what tutoring centers charge per hour and 20 percent less than private tutors with similar experiences.
