Over 20 years experience in the advertising design industry.
Freelance and contract work includes art direction and graphic design in the creation of corporate identity, catalogs, brochures, direct mail, illustration as well as web design and development; taking jobs from concept to final output.
Advertising, design & illustration part-time Instructor at the College of DuPage; I teach courses graphic design, typography, illustration and web/interactive design; lead and mentor students in the creation of professional quality portfolios; and create curriculum, lesson plans and classroom demonstrations for class instruction.
Graphic Design Full-time and Part-time Instructor at the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg where I taught undergraduate and continuing education courses in graphic design, typography and illustration; created curriculum, lesson plans and captivating classroom demonstrations for class instruction.
Teaching Style
Crawl, Walk, Run!
I teach fundamental of design and the use of Adobe Creative Suite software. Tutoring is based on individual assessment followed by instruction and demonstrations; student then do exercises and design projects from beginning to advanced skill levels; depending on initial assessment and individual goals.
