Experience Summary
I am the mother of two young adult children, both had learning challenges, ADD and required unique and creative tutoring at home in order to reach their full academic abilities. I have been a teacher and guidance counselor for many years, having taught both deaf children, hard of hearing children and hearing children in self contained classrooms. I have always been a problem solver and enjoy helping children learn!
Teaching Style
I have an eclectic approach to teaching, when working with deaf students I use alot of story telling and American Sign Language to teach English. I engage students in their learning, we problem solve, discuss, write about students thoughts and feelings and make the experience interesting and exciting.
My Hobbies
I love to read, see movies and theatre. I have cats and dogs
