Experience Summary
I am Geotechnical-PhD Student at the Civil, Environmental, and Construction Engineering Department, University of Central Florida.
My teaching experience: In 2007 I worked as an instructor for the engineering faculty at Legenda group of collages in Malaysia where I taught Geotechnical Engineering Classes. Legenda College is affiliated with the University of East London. There, I was also a mentor to a group of over 30 students.
I was also an instructor in 2004 at the Al-Eteihad Al-Afriki Institute (Libya), teaching soil mechanics courses.
In 2003, I worked at the Soil Mechanic Laboratory, Al-Tahadi University in Libya has given me strong background knowledge in soil experimental laboratory work.
Practical Experience: In 2008, I worked as a consultant engineer at the National Engineering Bureau/Dubai / UAE, which gave me an opportunity to deal and interact with many different clients where I had to supervise building construction and reach clients’ expectations.
In addition, I worked as a Civil Engineer (2004) at Al-Saqer Company in Libya which gave me an opportunity to practice construction works.
Teaching Style
Having both academic and practical experience in civil engineering, makes me able to teach not only the theoretical part of the classes but also relate them to the actual civil engineering practice, making the student visualizing and realizing what does every calculation mean.
I like to make the student interact during the class, which makes me know if they really understand the given materials or not.
