Mark Linford, M.M. is an exceptionally talented guitarist/singer/songwriter. He earned his bachelor's degree as a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and also holds a Master's Degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Redlands School of Music.
Mr. Linford has played professionally for over 35 years as well as instructed at music institutions and colleges. He is extremely versatile and competent in all styles of music including Latin, Rock, Blues, Pop, Jazz, Country, and Classical, as well as other less widespread styles. This versatility lends to Mark's unique style and abilities.
Mark has performed extensively throughout the United States as well as abroad at concert venues, major resort hotels, country clubs, dance clubs and fine restaurants worldwide.
Although concentrating mainly on teaching now, Mark Linford has acquired an enormous amount of experience from years of performing virtually all styles of music as a solo artist as well as working with an incredibly wide range of bands, artists and studio situations! He has recorded extensively as a "First Call Guitarist" on various recordings, albums and over 20 CD's. Mark Linford's extraordinary versatility has proven crucial when satisfying the wide variety of styles that today's audiences want to hear and dance to.
As well as performing, Mr. Linford's masterfully unique approach to teaching combines vast experience and talent with traditional teaching ideals while always keeping the journey fun as well as educational. Focusing on applied practices rather than theories that will not be used in the real world is an integral part of Mark's approach and that of his highly regarded Linford School of Music.
In between all of his other activities and commitments which make up a 24/7 schedule, Mark Linford is also working with friends and fellow musicians on fun local projects.
