Experience Summary
I love teaching Russian! In fact, I have nine years of successful teaching experience of students of different ages. My programs are mostly designed for English speaking students, however any students are welcome to my class.
I am a native Russian. Education in Russia includes a minimum of 6 years of studying Russian language in school at the level of a native language. Every year I passed a Russian Language exam as required, as well as the final exam at the end of the course. I graduated from two colleges with Master’s and Bachelor's degrees. As a requirement to enter any college, I had to pass a Russian Language exam along with other subjects. The Russian Language exam includes three hours of essay writing, written in a class without any electronic grammar and spell-checking aids. I passed that exam in 1992 when I entered college.
As for my background: I have two years of Russian Language tutoring experience and current students, which I encourage to work with me via WyzAnt. I individually design courses for my students based on existing Russian course books of various levels. I can provide references from my students upon request.
Teaching Style
I use individual approach for each student based on student’s age, interests, culture, and way of absorbing material. That is why my lessons have never been boring. I build courses using special "learn Russian" books of different levels, CDs, tunes, games etc.You can learn some tricks which help you to learn Russian from my lessons
