Additional Policies:

The following represents the lesson policies for music instruction by Rodney Brown. The lessons are booked in 30-minute or 60 minute time intervals, with students attending their lessons once each week. Lessons are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment for Lessons: You must pay in-full for the full month of music instruction at the first lesson of each month to maintain a permanent spot in my schedule book. Payment is due at the first lesson of the month and in the form of cash, money order, cashier’s check or personal or business check. If payment is not received by the end of the second lesson a $25.00 late payment fee is added to the total for the month. If your check is returned, you will be removed from the schedule and billed for the unpaid lesson(s) – as well as charged a $25.00 returned check fee and any fees my bank charges me as a result of the returned check. I require payment in advance for a few reasons: (1) It signifies a commitment to the lesson. (2) It removes money from being a weekly discussion. It is dealt with initially, leaving the remaining time free to learn! Lesson Rates: $25 per half hour/??$50 per hour lesson at the Pensacola studio $25 per half hour/??$50 per hour lesson at the Crestview High School $25 per half hour/??$50 per hour lesson at the Niceville studio $25 per half hour/??$50 per hour at the Schmidt’s Music Store Studio $30-35 per half hour/$60-70 per hour lesson for in-home instruction/price depends on location Unless otherwise instructed, I will purchase books for lessons and will be reimbursed for these books at the first lesson after purchase of the lesson materials. I will determine what materials are needed based on the type and level of lesson the student is taking. Attendance: Students are expected to attend their lesson(s) each week. If you cannot attend a lesson, you must notify me 24 hour prior to the scheduled lesson. If cancellation is received prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, you will receive a make-up lesson to be scheduled at my earliest convenience. Cancellations must be rescheduled within 15 days, and are subject to availability. I will allow a maximum of one (1) cancellation per month (NOTE: This does not include any missed lessons discussed at the beginning of the month, i.e., known vacations, etc.). Any additional cancellations will be forfeited. If you do not notify me of the cancelled lesson prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, the lesson fee for that lesson will be forfeited. I am starting this policy because of people missing lessons on a regular basis, assuming they can just reschedule when it’s more convenient for them.
