Experience Summary
I pursed a teaching opportunity to continue building knowledge in the Education field. My objective is to guide our children through the learning process, which includes diversity and richness of all cultures to help them prepare and develop his or her greatest potential.
My objective is to assist in building a strong foundation of literacy skills and experiences in young children. This is critical for their success in school and in life. I am confident that I can make a difference in this profession. Our children need different options to make it easier for them to elevate their skills and critical thinking to pursue in a field of interest. This endeavor can be accomplished by empowering the students and parents to put in the effort needed to excel in the direction of their talents and visions. I am looking forward to assisting the teaching staff and parents with issues and concerns to address individual learning patterns that need to be restructured. My goal is to integrate the best practices used in the classroom to improve accelerated learning and to develop basic skills in students that would assure success of being a viable asset in the community.
Academic Experience
My prior experiences as a Health Educator enabled me to interview families and assist them in developing a comprehensive health plan to meet their needs. Most parents speak English as a second language; therefore I would ascertain if translation was needed or if I could supplement the information with Spanish literature and/or graphic images. I also had an opportunity to reach out into the community to obtain available resources to maintain wellness. I was able to utilize my literary and communication skills in planning Health Fairs and Advisory meetings. I enjoyed planning workshops and trainings to provide information in an informative but hands-on manner.
As a teacher I take pride in using my collective experiences and talents to provide many opportunities to assist children in building character for academic achievement. I have been able to utilize my skills to develop and enhance the academic curriculum to meet the needs of the children. I am continually increasing my assessment skills by observing and documenting the behavior of children to plan follow-up methods.
Teaching Style

We have a responsibility to maintain a healthy lifestyle and protect our universe. I enjoy preparing and presenting interactive lessons that motivate and encourage positive feedback. I utilize my skills and training to ensure that planned learning practices are beneficial, individualized, practical, and set the future direction needed. To reinforce the needs of the children and assist in their development a partnership with parents is needed for guidance and success of child.
My Hobbies
I enjoy planning activities for my students and grandchildren. During my down time I enjoy reading, skating, bowling, gardening and walking.

As a Pre-K Lead Teacher for the past five years; I use my collective experiences and talents to lead staff in providing many opportunities to assist children in building character for academic achievement. I also take pride in developing and enhancing the academic curriculum to meet the developmental needs of the children. This is accomplished through assessments and documenting the results.
