Experience Summary
I am a registered professional civil engineer in California and Texas with more than 20 years real world civil engineering experiences. I have M.S. and B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering. I enjoyed working with young people. I have taught and trained many interns and young engineers and have helped them to pass EIT and P.E. examinations.
Teaching Style
My teaching style has been formulated since I was in college as a Teaching Assistant. I have found that although by following some examples to solve one or two problems may be a quick way to achieve a short term success, however, the students would forget them quickly and when the situations have some minor changes, they may not be able to solve the problem by themselves again. I would like to teach them the theory behind the problems and to make sure that the students have a full understanding of the subject. This is my personal experience. I learned engineering in this way, remembered them, and utilized them in the rest of my life. If you want to be a successful civil engineer, come to me and I will teach you how.
