Experience Summary
I am currently in the last 2 weeks of my masters degree at TAMU-Commerce. I have studied intensely under Dr. Brian Zator for the previous two years in all areas of percussion from classical, drumset, world percussion, and marching percussion. I have an extensive marching background including two seasons (2008-09) performing with the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, and a season of WGI with Rhythm X in 2010. The previous two summers I have also been on tour instructing the percussion section at the Jersey Surf Drum and Bugle Corps.
Teaching Style
I am a very diversified teacher. I like position the students where they can teach them selves more than I actually teach them. In a normal lesson setting I only see a student one hour a week, and the rest of the time they must be able to navigate solutions by themselves. I do not seek to improve a students skills, but to motivate the student to develop their own through a love of music.
My Hobbies
When not teaching I enjoy fishing on my fathers boat. Which is currently in NJ, so it's been a bit of a struggle recently!
