About Me

Experience Summary

After more than 20 years teaching teachers and students, I can help you achieve an understanding and love of Language Arts principles. I am an Educational Diagnostician and have worked in Texas school districts for over 25 years. I have helped students pass their State exams as well as regular classes. My teaching career began teaching students and helping parents understand their problems. I give full individual assessments to meet all standards in universities in the U.S. and overseas. I am able to meet with parents or students to discuss learning problems and accommodations needed in the classroom for success. My hours are flexible and I can accommodate very small groups.

As a diagnostician I have worked to identify and help students develop copeing skills to be more successful in testing and classroom sessions.
Dyslexia	This is one of my top subjects! Proficiency: Expert
As an educational diagnostician, I am very familiar with dyslexia in all forms. Reading and reading comprehension may be very common but rarely understood in a classroom. Dysgraphia and dyscalculia are not understood well in lower grades and often misdiagnosed as ADHD. Universities in the U.S. and abroad recognize these areas for accommodations with my assessment report. Look at Texas Assessment Specialists on the website.
Special Education	This is one of my top subjects! Proficiency: Expert
One does not usually need weeks and weeks of tutoring without underlying issues causing problems. Learning disabilities and developmental delays are difficult for the student and adult. Please allow us to talk about these problems. Call at your convenience.
