I have years of experience as a professional tutor in many subjects, like test prep, (FSA, FCAT, PSAT, ACT, SAT, GED, GRE, etc.), English (Composition, Reading, Literature, Grammar), Shakespeare, Poetry, Latin, History, Math (K-8, Algebra I, Geometry), Science (K-8, General Science, Earth Science, Biology, Astronomy), Philosophy, French, Greek, study skills, ESOL, and others. I have experience tutoring students of a wide range of ages, from elementary through college, which has given me unique insight into the problems students face in these subjects. Teaching Style
I am a patient, conscientious and dedicated mentor who is skilled at helping struggling students to become successful and good students to excel. I especially love seeing students who previously found a subject to be daunting gain new confidence and realize they have untapped and unknown abilities in the subject that can lead them to find it enjoyable and achieve their academic goals. I will help nurture an atmosphere conducive to effective study and help you with your organizational skills if needed, so that your time on your own will be more productive.
