Experience Summary
Graduating summa cum laude with a baccalaureate degree in Psychology, along with Graduate degrees with honor in Literacy and Organizational Leadership, I have strived to maintain excellence in excellence.
Obtaining state teaching credentials, Reading Reform certification, and applying those learned skills in an urban classroom has provided me with an understanding on how children learn.
In addition, my work as a tutor for community organizations, over the past ten years, has given me the opportunity to apply my skills to help many different types of learners, struggling both socially and academically.
Teaching Style
My passion is to teach. I believe since children have varied learning styles, differentiation while teaching is important. Differentiation is achieved by knowing your student and applying that knowledge when creating a lesson plan. As a patient instructor, I seek to enhance my student's schema so they are able to apply working knowledge to their learning. Dedication is important when working with students, and it is with dedication that I strive to guide my students to higher levels of learning.
