Experience Summary
As a 2010 graduate of IUPUI, my student teaching experience has allowed me to work with a diverse group of individuals. For my first student teaching experience, I was immersed in an English as a second language setting. At my second student teaching experience, I was involved in an inquiry based, hands-on leaning curriculum that differentiated instruction to meet the needs of every child. I have had the opportunity to work with students with different learning styles and multiple ability levels. This has allowed tremendous grouth in my ability to adapt to new situations and provide instruction that is unique and meaningful.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students are worth my time, my ears, my voice, and my compassion.
I believe that all students cc an learn, all students want to learn, all students can have fun with learning, and all students have something to teach me.
I believe that children should be looked at as individuals with different interests, learning styles, and needs.
I believe children learn best with a connection to prior knowledge.
I believe that children learn from prior experience and hands on opportunities.
