Experience Summary
I have been in the education field for over 20 years. In 1995 I built my own art studio working with adults and children. I worked with brain-injured, autistic, ADD, ADHD, dyslexic, gifted, as well as reg. ed. students. I returned to complete my teaching degree in 2001, graduating from Colorado Christian University in Lakewood, CO in 2005. I have earned an additional 60 credit hours in drawing, painting, watercolors and sculpture. I have been a substitute teacher for Jeffco, Adams 12, and catholic schools for the past 8 years. I also tutor for Tutor Train and independently. I have additional experience with after school and summer programs.
Teaching Style
I am very creative, hands-on teacher. I have a passion for kids, art and learning! I incorporate a variety of methods and strategies to meet the individual needs of all students. I believe we are always learning, and that children excel learning what they love. I am kind, caring and compassionate, treating each learner and their talents as a special gift.
