Experience Summary
I have been teaching in both classroomas well as one-on-one settings here in the US as well as Europe and South East Asia for over 20 years. My students have been of all abilities and from as young as 3 to as "young" as 80. I have taught a wide range of courses including, writing composition, grammar, speech, social studies/cultural communication, ESL, conflict negotiation and mediation as well as test prep for SAT, TOEIC, TOEFL and the LSAT. I have earned a reputation among my students as an instructor you always conducts a vibrant, fun, interactive, multi-activity and thereby material jam-packed class, but balance this socratic teaching method with extremely demanding and challenging assignments and exams.
Teaching Style
To effectively teach any subject I first take the time to clearly organize my thoughts on the subject, decide upon what objectives/information that I would like/need to convey to my students, and then prepare a complete lesson plan including clear goals and a concise agenda for day's topic,which will be shared with the students at the start of the lesson. During the next segment, I present and explain the chosen topic in enough detail to provide a foundation for the class to then be able to engage in a variety of interactive,skill mastery activites, designed to further clarify the subject in as many different ways as are necessary to meet the various learning styles and needs of all the students present.
