Experience Summary
In 2009, I completed a profession editing certificate to add to my degrees in English and rhetoric. Because of this experience, I am confident teaching and tutoring the humanities (English, history, philosophy, etc.) at high-school and college levels. For two years, I have taught all subjects as an aid in a fourth and fifth grade special day (SDC) class. This experience has taught me effective ways to teach difficult material to young learners with particular learning needs.
Teaching Style
I am comfortable lecturing on various subjects. However, I have seen the best results with repetition and continual reinforcement of the subject matter while weaving in larger ideas here and there. I am calm, patient, persistent, and supportive of everyone's particular abilities.
