Experience Summary
As a Valedictorian of my 2001 high school class, I went on to the University of Colorado, Boulder to earn a bachelor degree in Accounting. This degree has allowed me to gain extensive knowledge of how to make use of math after school. Accounting, however, did not make me feel completely fulfilled in my career. I wanted to make a difference in the world and, to achieve this, I feel like I need to teach. I have an alternative teaching license in business and am seeking an endorsement in math. I am currently taking 3 math classes. I am also a substitute teacher. In addition, I have tutored in math and science all through high school.
Teaching Style
My desires to make an impact on someone’s life have led me to develop a teaching style based on passion. I have become dedicated to making an impact on every student’s life. I strive to motivate the students to explore themselves and expand their mental boundaries. Inclusion is also a significant part of my classroom environment. I value inclusion because every student, regardless of ability, is capable of learning, and I cater to an environment that encourages and embraces diversity. I believe that every individual learns differently; I know that I would be doing a great disservice to my students if I taught the material only one way. My classroom is enriched with my passion and desire to teach.
