Experience Summary
Even before graduating from high school I began tutoring kids younger than I. I love children & I value education, therefore I figured if I have a little knowledge or if I can help someone understand something better, I might as well try. During & after graduation from college I was a Teacher's assistant as well as a tutor. I have my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, which required the reading of numerous books, writing many papers, & passing many math/statistics classes. I have been teaching and tutoring for 5 years.
Teaching Style
I love children & teaching. Where there is a will there is a way for all children to learn. My motto is "The more you learn the more you know, the more you know the further you go," and I firmly believe in that. I believe that kids can have fun learning if you make the material interesting and somewhat tangible. When children have to sit without any interaction with their teacher or other students it makes learning a whole lot harder. If we as a society teach our children well, and make that extra effort to be sure they are learning, the world will be a totally different place. When a child doesn't understand they feel inferior, that is where I come in at. I go above and beyond to make sure every child I tutor or teach gets that extra attention needed.
