Experience Summary
I have a bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and a master's degree in physics from the topmost research institution of my country. I also have five years of research experience post-MS. This has given me a deep understanding of not only science and math that I studied as part of my curriculum, but also of interdisciplinary areas like biophysics. English being part of the curriculum right from kindergarten, I am very comfortable in communicating in that language. This along with extensive exposure to the English media has given me a feel for the language which is at par with a native speaker of English. All these have enabled me to successfully tutor innumerable students for the past eleven years in the fields of science and math.
Teaching Style
More than anything else teaching is something that I did as a hobby and a challenge. Having been a tutor since my undergrad days, I am of the belief that teaching is as much about communication as content. Each student has a unique way of learning, and I aim to communicate at his/her wavelength, this is why I utitlize many methods to illustrate the same concepts, until the student is able to grasp them fully. I excel at teaching students of varying abilities. My feeling is that any student can be made to appreciate a subject and it is only then that learning becomes an enjoyable experience for the teacher as well as the student.
