Experience Summary
My recent training through the nationally ranked Illinois State University English Education Program required me to work with a wide range of learners (from advanced placement students to those with learning disabilities). Therefore, my ability to differentiate instruction has certainly been polished. Prior to this training, I completed a teaching internship in which I assisted, tutored, and created lessons for young learners. Most recently I have gone through a literacy tutor training program, which provided me with extensive knowledge on how to better help students succeed in reading, writing, and math. Such preparation has allowed me to become even more enthusiastic about passing on to others my passion for academic success.
Teaching Style
I would describe my teaching style as innovative, flexible, and passionate. After observing and working with countless students, I have realized that every individual has their own style of learning. Therefore, as an instructor, it is my duty to differentiate my instruction so that I can appropriately teach to those specific styles. My instruction is infused with passion, which is exemplified in my insistent creation, reflection, and re-creation of teaching materials (based on how well the student grasps the material and in what manner they do so). I have a strong belief that, given the right instruction, each and every student can learn, succeed, and even excel academically.
