Experience Summary
I have always loved French and have studied the language consistently since middle school. Now, with a completed French minor, I have the confidence and ability to assist other students with language learning. I recently returned from a 4-month study abroad in France, where complete language immersion and intensive language classes greatly increased my comprehension and vocabulary. I also taught French at an elementary school during my freshman year of college.
Teaching Style
It is incredibly rewarding to me to see people learn something new. Thus, I make sure the student understands the concept before we move on to a new topic. I understand that people learn at different rates and in different ways, so during one-on-one teaching I try to be sensitive to my student's styles and habits. I am patient and encouraging, and I have a genuine interest in student success.
