Experience Summary
As a graduate of Georgia Southern University, and a tutor and mentor I am excited to continue in the traditions of higher learning. I have my degrees in Project Management and Civil Engineering as well as Business Finance. Throughout the years I have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and professionally taught for Upward Bound, tutoring high school students. I have practical experience in the work force for engineering firms doing finance, estimating calculations, physics and technical writings ect. Within the last 5 years I have exhibited excellent leadership values in the academic, community, and national arena. I have hands on experience teaching history, literature, arts, piano, physics/maths.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is to draw students out of their traditional comfort zones, while displaying respect for others points of view and values. Because education on all levels teaches higher levels of thinking it is very important to have great respect for others academic percepts while maintaining ones personal believe (
While with Upward Bound the students attended my classes attentively and I had to be moved to a bigger room to hold the sessions. I was honored by their willingness to be ACTIVELY INVOLVED with my classes because I encouraged each student to be passionate about his/her future.
