Experience Summary
Born in a family with American Sign Language as a primary language. I am fluent in ASL including Total Communication. I have grown to love the language and understand the culture that comes with it. Teachers appointed me as their instructors for beginning ASL while I was in high school. Assisted teachers in tutoring the language. I was invited to speak at Youth Character Symposium at Webster University about my identity as a deaf person, educating others about the Deaf culture as well as our language. Everywhere I go, I am always happy to share with the others interested in our culture the beautiful language.
Teaching Style
Teaching is part of my core, I love helping people of all ages learn and to be educated in the Deaf culture and the language to help them grow in different ways benfitting the others. I believe that the students will learn through daily encounters, discoveries, and interaction. I believe I can make a world of differences in their lives, showing the culture and language through a deaf person's eyes.
