I took two years in high school and have taken 2+ years of college coursework. Both of my parents are deaf, I have been using ASL since the age of 1. I am now 20 years old and completely fluent in the language. I prefer face to face teaching sessions but I can be flexible. To start of I like to see what the student may already know about the language. From there we will practice new material and once the student feels comfortable with the newly learned signs I will then have them attempt at having a conversation using the signs.
