One of the best breaks from lab work in graduate school was teaching and tutoring! I have taught as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for three years in organic chemistry (6 semesters), teaching both in the lab and in the class. During this time, I also tutored for both Organic Chemistry I and II on the side (class or lab). I also have four years of actual organic chemistry research under my belt!
