Piano Pedagogy, as my minor, helped me learn and analyze teaching methods. I studied piano, with weekly lessons, for 15 years of my life. I then taught piano lessons. I typically taught 25 lessons per week for 18 months. I was then offered a teaching position for The Academy for Global Exploration, a college-preparatory private school that takes students on adventure travel semesters, covering their studies in various locations. I graduated from Plymouth State University in 2008 with my B.S. in Health Education. My option was Wellness Management which has a business component but in obtaining the degree I was required to do some teaching as well. (Not formally, more presentations to my peers and community education. I do not have a teacher certification.) I am a Certified Health Education Specialist which is a certification on top of my degree. I did some mentoring while I lived in Dover, NH and greatly enjoyed my time spent working with youth.
