Studied oboe performance at the University of South Florida with Amy Collins. I have been playing and studying oboe for 13 years. I held the position of principal of the USF Symphony Orchestra oboe section from Fall 2006 through Spring of 2010. Oboe is such a unique instrument and requires certain specialized skills. I currently make my own reeds for my use and for my students' use. I have taught many masterclasses at local high schools and tutored many students. I try to make my students feel as comfortable as possible and use positive constructive criticism in order to build the student's confidence as a mucisian. I do expect my students to work hard and practice as much as they can in order to improve their skills.

Teaching oboe since the late 1980's, I received my degree in Oboe Performance from Northwestern University, where I was fortunate to study with Ray Still of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In addition to teaching privately, I've been involved with Arts Camps in Tennessee, Florida, Maine, and California. Currently I teach in the Plano/Richardson area, and am accepting students of all ages/levels in my home studio. I'm also readily available to assist with oboe reed needs.
