The experience that I have is training the leaders/volunteers in running a troop or assisting the leaders. The training sessions is from three to six hours of presenting materials, video, Power Point slides and group interactions that will assist the group in holding meetings and developing programs for the troops. The teaching experience consist of leadership, how to handle complex situations with the troop and or parents. I train every month at least once to three sessions. I have a BA in History from UM, which, of course, entailed not just learning and researching history, but also tremendous amounts of writing papers on a myriad of topics. I am currently a law student at Wayne State, and so am also well versed in legal and social issues, as well as, once again, lots of writing and grammar. I also have a background teaching and tutoring 100's of students how to prepare for the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT and LSAT examinations. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I developed an interest in tutoring during the beginning of my sophomore year of college, when the math department needed calculus tutors. Although I was not a math major at the time, I enjoyed calculus and decided to apply. Along with tutoring college students, I volunteered at Girls’ Inc to tutor young girls in junior high with numerous subjects. After earning my BA in mathematics, I worked at the learning center of another university tutoring undergrads in various math classes. It’s important to be able to impart knowledge to the student smoothly and only to answer the asked questions. Too much information can cause a student to “overload”. This can make the student afraid to ask questions in the future or to think that the topic is so difficult. A good tutor will try to simplify things and brief the answers so he keeps the child interested to learn more. I love teaching math and science to high school students up to early college levels. I have lots of experience and can be flexible in the way I teach based on the student style.

I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in Economics. I received an A in college chemistry and I took college physics. I have took many entrance tests including the bar exam, GMAT, LSAT, and ACT. I have also took them in association with Kaplan to teach for Kaplan. I scored in the 90% percentile to qualify to teach test prep for Kaplan. I also made it through their interview process including their speech presentation. I work with computers every day. I try to help students and relate to them. My satisfaction level is great when I can help someone learn something.
