I first used my teaching skills while acting as a tour guide at the Astor House Museum in Golden, Colorado. I enjoyed communicating with school groups the history of the house museum, which was once a hotel back in the 19th century for travelers heading out to California to seek their fortune in gold. I presently work at Rosetta Stone and enjoy using my linguistic knowledge as a language consultant to help those interested in learning to speak a foreign language. I enjoy working with junior high, high school, and college level students. I am able to communicate material that will encourage the student to be analytical and draw conclusions on his or her own, especially for subjects in the social sciences. I like to encourage students to explore and learn on their own, seeking out material that challenges their natural talents.
