My name is Barbara M. I was born in Hamburg, Germany and raised in Japan. I have been tutoring for the past six years in Cape Coral, Florida. I grew up in Japan and came to the USA after I met my husband. Having a Japanese mother and German father meant I was surrounded by both languages, becoming fluent in both. I earned my IB in German in high school and took the O-level exam at Oxford University in London. I passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test at level N2 and am studying for the N1. N2 certified Since the age of 15 i have tutored in Japan to Japanese people German or English and to foreigners Japanese on and off. My influence of teaching came from my mother who taught privately and who was the first Japanese teacher at American school in Singapore. The last 4 yrs i have been tutoring in Cape Coral /Ft Myers area to variety of students from young age to adult. I grew up in both languages German and Japanese i know the challenges each languages has. I will adjust to individual needs. Materials are used what students have or i can use my materials.
