Cornet and trumpet are very similar, but I do know the subtle differences in them and can teach both I have been doing something in music for 30 years. I have a B.A in music from Wright State University which I obtained in 2003. I also have 6 years of private music instruction on various instruments. I have played in several different groups consisting of a wide range of music. I have classical training but I also know how to teach rock, pop, jazz and metal on certain instruments I believe that every child is unique and needs to have a teaching style unique to them

I try to place real world experiences into lessons and tutoring sessions so students can actually see how concepts taught apply to everyday life. see Trumpet I believe in teaching the right way to do something the first time. Bad playing habits are much easier to avoid than to correct. I prefer for the student to have a short (20 to 30 minute) daily practice session that is highly concentrated, than to practice for two hours twice a week. I also like to keep a very relaxed atmosphere... because you simply play better when you are relaxed. I can teach someone to play higher or faster, but my main goal is to make sure that someone has a firm grasp of the basics, such as posture, breath support, embouchure, articulation, and tone quality. I graduated on December 16th, 2011 from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a bachelors degree in Music Education with Cum Laude Honors (3.4 GPA). I attend the Salvation Army where cornet takes the place of trumpet. I attended two musical camps, one in Oklahoma and another in Texas, both where I majored in cornet.
