Experience Summary
I have taught in the Montessori environment for more than 17 years. In addition, I am trained in Orton Gillingham and have tutored, trained and mentored for 15 years. My background in both Montessori and Nursing provide great insight when teaching the "whole" child. As a mother of children that struggled with various levels of learning difficulties, I have great empathy and compassion for each parent and thus strive to utilize their unique strengths and weaknesses to assist in getting to know each student and building a strong support team for each child.
Teaching Style
Using the Orton Gillingham multisensory teaching approach I work with students at their pace. Meeting each child where they are in their abilities; moving as fast as they can and as slow as needed. Each child sets the pace for their individual learning course.
