best way to learn something is to teach it. –I embrace this idea in my approach to tutoring, where I have the student teach the material to me. I believe this is a more positive approach because it encourages the student by focusing on their strengths instead of their weaknesses, so they can have the confidence they need. This approach also results in better understanding of the material, because it makes the student think about not only 'how' when solving a problem, but also 'why'.
