Experience Summary
I served in various teaching and leadership positions in my Church. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served as a Ward Missionary where my duties included serving and teaching with the missionaries, visiting and serving members of the Ward and others in the community, and occasionally teaching "Gospel Principles." I also served as the Elders Quorum Secretary where I had the responsibility of reporting home teaching for the Elders Quorum and also had opportunities to teach in Elders Quorum every Sunday. I previously served as the Ward Mission Leader where I was responsible for the missionary work and activity in our Ward and taught "Gospel Principles" as well. I also had the opportunity to oversee the Missionary Preparation program in our Ward to help the youth of our Ward to prepare for Missions and had an opportunity to teach a session of Missionary Prep. I also occasionally give talks in Sunday services in my Church where I have the opportunity to teach about a Principle in the Church. I also have home teaching duties where I visit the homes of other members with a companion, teach the people we are assigned, and assist them with anything they need every month.
Teaching Style
I review course material with the students who I teach. I ask questions to get students to think about the lessons and concepts. I will sometimes emphasize important information to remember and keep in mind. I will sometimes follow questions up with explanations of the curriculum and key concepts and other questions.
My Hobbies
walking, jogging, running, swimming, hiking, writing, politics
Other Comments
If it is convenient, I could do one-on-one or group tutoring sessions with students at UVU Monday through Friday.
