Experience Summary
I am a Prospective P1 pharmacy student with extensive experience in all subject matter tested on the PCAT. I scored a 92 composite and can guide you in the right direction to achieve the same or better with insightful tips for test prep that I discovered as I went through the entire process. I am currently in my final semester as a Pharamceutical Sciences major at The Ohio State University. I have community service, peer mentoring and tutoring experience and I can express thoughts clearly. My goal is to ensure that you are prepared for the test and to go through actual problems with streamlined methods of problem solving to help you answer test questions efficiently and effectively. Standardized testing can be a challenge for some, but proper preparation will allow you to excel. As a peer mentor, I helped students organize research proposals. I did not hinder their trial and error learning process, but rather guided their thoughts toward the best idea they could produce. As a volunteer, I demonstrated science demos in a clear and concise fashion for the average person to understand. Concepts dealt mostly with physics and chemistry. For my community service, I taught adults high school level math so they could pursue receiving their GEDs. This aspect of my background is very telling of my adaptability to all learning styles and I won't be afraid to push you further to learn a concept you believe to be challenging. I am exceptional with math, reading and chemistry concepts that will be tested. If you struggle with mechanisms and product prediction in organic chemistry, I can certainly help. These are fundamental concepts that will help in Biochemistry and Med Chem as well. I am advertising my help as a student who has gone through the entire process and can say that I've been in your shoes. Some methods of studying work well, whilst others work exceptionally well. I did not use prep classes and did not receive help from a tutor. Don't waste $100s (or perhaps $1000s) of dollars on a class for PCAT prep. They may promise that your score will improve, but your score will naturally improve if you spend the time spent in class studying on your own. I am a proponent of honing skills in your strongest areas and using those skills to help you in your weakest areas. By teaching you, I will have something to gain as well...cell (text or call!): 44O5376493..email: drewvargas.90@gmail.com
