Experience Summary
Thanks to my anthropological background and my years of teaching experience, my own teaching methodology has evolved to become chiefly focused on student learning rather than mere teaching. I have been teaching Arabic for UCLA (regular class) and also UCLA Extension (online class) for the last 4 years.
Teaching Style
My teaching style uses a task-based technique that uses a holistic approach favoring alternative categories of learning and assessment (rubrics, checklists, projects, portfolios, performance/diagnostic checks, presentations, etc.) to traditional exams/test creation.
