Experience Summary
A lifelong educator from MN, I love teaching and I love students! Initially, I taught junior high English and Social Studies, then physical education, then a combination of the two. After moving to CA, I earned an MA in Special Education and began to teach student w/special needs, particularly those w/learning handicaps of various types. My focus shifted to working w/college students and adults as they pursued their education and careers. Recently, I've tutored students to pass various entrance examinations w/high scores!
My Hobbies
A competitive triathlete, I love to be outdoors and especially enjoy the ocean and all it offers for body, mind, and spirit. Surfing and kayaking are such fun! I also enjoy lifting weights and practicing yoga. Other interests include attending and ushering at various performing arts events, especially life theater and music.
