Teaching Style
I enjoy creatively introducing the basic concept of the new subject matter from where the student already is. Creativity is also a part of giving the understanding of the new knowledge more depth and meaning to the learner. While creativity has its place in bringing the learner closer to the new knowledge, memorization is still an important tool used to turn new knowledge into old knowledge. Some tools for memorization could be songs, flashcards, drawings and other manipulatives. From that old knowledge, I creatively introduce more new knowledge to start the learning cycle again.
My Hobbies
I enjoy designing and hand-wrapping crystal jewelry, playing the flute, and singing.
