About Me

Experience Summary

Dr. Annette has several years of experience as a Behavioral Scientist and Organizational Development Consultant. Her many attributes include those of an Educationalist, Psychologist, and Organizational Development Consultant. Dr. Annette consistently spends her time mentoring, coaching, and tutoring others in English, Language Arts, Humanities, and the Social Sciences. She works consistently with a number of entities and corporations in the private/public sector, psychological community, church organizations, and middle/high schools and schools of higher education. As a professional writer, I've written non-fictional, fictional articles and short stories beginning at the age of 10. For most of my adult life, I wrote technical articles for the government and educational institutions. Included in my experience is writing and editing resumes, thesis, college entrance essays, position qualification summaries, and expository rhetoric . This of course included conducting research and analyzing the expectations of the reader.

Teaching Style

As a Behavioral Scientist, Dr. Annette individualizes each student's study to the requirements of at last 2 years/grades beyond the student's current school year status. Dr. Annette has several years of educational teaching experience at all levels in middle school, high school, and undergraduate college. She lectures and conducts seminars and presentations at colleges nationwide at the undergraduate and graduate level. Dr. Annette is a consultant to major college and universities, and develops professional classroom/instructor curriculums for various and diverse subjects. Well practiced, study skills are essential to any field of learning. In my teaching and lesson planning approach with the student, we will identify the areas requiring specific attention. Then assess the current study skills based on the student's education level and ability to retain information. Assessment will include study materials, one step below, current and 2 steps above the current level. Learning will include association by interest. Once we've identified the attention level, current study skills, comfort zones, then I will develop a study tool specific to the student for him to engage and apply to his learning. By the 3rd meeting, student will be able to demonstrate a change in study patterns. Continual tools will be developed based on the student's ability to grasp. As study material enhances so will study skills. Patience and communication are key elements of Dr. Annette's practice. She develops the student's learning curriculum on the student's cognitive behavioral development. Emphasis is placed on enjoying to learn.
